Nov 16-22

Language Arts: Kennedy and Kingston spent time reading/listening to books on Epic. Kingston listened to Brown Bear by Eric Carle. He also is reading more on his own. He read a Cat in the Hat book and for a few pages just read words he knew but would sometimes ask me what a word was that he didn't know. Kennedy is reading Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing. Kennedy and Kingston wrote down things they were thankful for.

Math: Kingston counted marbles. Kingston counted to 120. Kennedy and Kingston did a quadrilateral game on Starfall. Kingston practiced telling time with a clock. Kennedy says, "3+4=7."



Social Studies: We finished reading about Queen Nzinga of Ndomba in Africa and how she fought for freedom. We watched more Liberty Kids.

Science: We watched Dino Dana and learned about dinosaurs. We read about granite in our Rocks book.

Tech/Trep: Kingston built a Cat-in-the-Hat marble track. Kingston also built bridges with Cat in the Hat. Kennedy and Kingston built with marble tracks. We built a Thanksgiving box out of Legos. We built other things out of Legos too. The kids built structures with toothpicks and marshmallows.








Elective: We watched Creative Galaxy and learned about different ways to do art projects. Kennedy did some family history with her great-grandma. Kennedy did a collage art project. We went to the Artitorium and got to play violins. Kennedy tried a cello too. Kingston played on the light table with legos. Kennedy did some art projects. Kingston did a pattern art project. The kids played Turkey Bowl football with their dad in the snow, more snow and less football.

Once upon a time there was a rabbit. And every morning he would pick 10 carrots from his garden. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10. I used Keva planks to make a maze. Coding: I made a jumping game on Scratch. My brother and I made a marble maze out of straws and a plate. I made chocolates.  I practiced marksmanship. I coded games on Scratch. I played video games.
