Language Arts: Kennedy read a book to her baby brother and sister. Kingston read another paragraph in a chapter book. Kennedy worked on handwriting. We started reading The Horse and His Boy. We watched The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe and compared it to the book, since we finished it last week.
Math: Kingston played a subtraction balloon game. Kingston and Kennedy used tangrams to make shapes. We watched some math antics videos about area, perimeter, circles, and probability.
Social Studies: We read about slavery in the colonies and tobacco. We read about where slaves come from. We looked on the globe at why it's called the Triangular Trade.
Science: We read about erosion by water. When asked why water goes faster in mountains than valleys, Kingston said, "because it is more down" and showed with gestures what he meant. We watched the 3rd grade science class about animal groups.
Tech/Trep: Kennedy and Kingston built some creative car tracks. They built some forts with our fort-building kit. They built with legos.
Elective: Kennedy worked on crocheting. She also rode her bike. Kingston rode his bike. They also danced Riverdance.
