May 17-26 Legoland Vacation

Language Arts: We listened to Pillar of Light and The Phantom Tollbooth on our road trip. Kennedy read a lot of Encyclopedia Brown books.

Math:

Social Studies: We looked at maps to navigate on our road trip. We looked at replicas of cities and monuments.

Science: We learned about physics and roller coasters. We went on a nature hike. We found and held frogs. We fed ponies and turtles and dogs. We went to the zoo and learned about all sorts of animals and fish. We learned about the ocean and waves.

Tech/Trep: We built things out of Legos. We talked about business and profits, looking at income versus expenses.  Kingston built sand castles and sand cities.

Elective: We hung hammocks. We did a lot of walking. Kennedy went boogie boarding. We played on a playground.

The Rabbit's Carrots: A Sharing Addition Story

Once upon a time there was a rabbit. And every morning he would pick 10 carrots from his garden. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10. I used Keva planks to make a maze. Coding: I made a jumping game on Scratch. My brother and I made a marble maze out of straws and a plate. I made chocolates.  I practiced marksmanship. I coded games on Scratch. I played video games.
