Language Arts: Kennedy is reading a lot of Vet Volunteers and Roald Dahl books. We did some word-building activities. They hit words with flyswatters. We used stamps to make words. We used Bananagram tiles to make words. We played Wordscapes. Kingston dictated a letter to his aunt. Kennedy gave oral book reports. Kingston read 2 early reader books. Everyone has signed up for our library's summer reading program and is reading their books. Kingston is impressing me with how much he can read from a book when I'm there with him. Kes is learning words as well, without me teaching him the words directly. Kennedy did some ELA worksheets. She learned about punctuation and complete sentences (the worksheets helped me see that she needed to learn this better). Kingston dictated a story.
