Language Arts: Kingston reads 2 beginner readers a week for the library summer reading program. Kennedy reads 5 books a week. We are doing journal time and copywork time. Kennedy's handwriting is improving. Kennedy did a opinion writing lesson on MobyMax. Kennedy did some apostrophe games on Education.com and some comma worksheets. Kennedy is reading the Harry Potter series again. We are reading aloud the children's version of David Copperfield. Kingston worked on some worksheets spelling sight words.
Math: We have started doing MobyMax for math. Kingston plays math games on education.com and Starfall. We also did some worksheets for math. We played Fraction Formula game. We used play money.
Social Studies: We have started Story of the World volume 4. We learned about Victorian England and their rule over India. Kennedy is learning to label states on a US map. We played Stratego, a war game. We played Ticket to Ride and Trekking the National Parks, which taught us about United States geography. We read another chapter in Story of the World about Japan.

Science: We still watch Mystery Doug. We played in the river and stream and explored the rocks and branches and flowers nearby. We learned about farm animals at Reed's Dairy. We looked at some microscope slides of animals and plants. Kennedy looked up some birds in our birders guidebook.

Tech/Trep: Kingston builds with Legos and Keva planks often. Kennedy and Kingston discussed farm and garden designs.
Elective: It is finally warm enough to swim almost every day. Kennedy is to the point where she can swim across the 15' pool diameter without touching the bottom. They ride bikes to their neighbors. We played soccer with friends. We painted and colored and drew. Kingston drew some farm pictures after watching some tutorials.
