Language Arts: Kennedy gave an oral book report about Double Digit club book. Kingston wrote "birthday" on the whiteboard. We listened to more of Swiss Family Robinson . Kennedy read two books in one day and started a third. She gave an oral book report about Danny Champion of the World  and also Being Teddy Roosevelt . Language Arts: We listened to Pillar of Light  and The Phantom Tollbooth  on our road trip. Kennedy read a lot of Encyclopedia Brown books. Math: Social Studies: We looked at maps to navigate on our road trip. We looked at replicas of cities and monuments. Science: We learned about physics and roller coasters. We went on a nature hike. We found and held frogs. We fed ponies and turtles and dogs. We went to the zoo and learned about all sorts of animals and fish. We learned about the ocean and waves. Tech/Trep: We built things out of Legos. We talked about business and profits, looking at income versus expenses.  Kingston built sand castles and sand cities. Elective: We hung hammocks. We did a lot of walking. Kennedy went boogie boarding. We played on a playground.

Language Arts: Kennedy is reading the fourth Harry Potter book. Kingston played with word tiles and made sentences. We talked about how the different colors were different parts of speech (mostly). We are reading books aloud as a family. They wrote "Happy Mom's Day" on cards. Kennedy wrote letters to her aunts. Kingston played Wordscape. Math: Kingston played a Thomas the Train math game. Kennedy did multiplication to find out how much three binders cost at $1 each. Kennedy read a chapter about area using unit squares and did 10 area problems. Then we rolled dice and made area buildings of the size we rolled. Kennedy learned the finger trick for multiplying by nine. Social Studies: We read about Nat Turner's Revolt.
